A bespoke oak frame without paying us to install the whole project
If you already have a trusted builder, groundworker or roofing team, a supply-only oak garage can be a practical way to keep more of the project under your own control. Southern Oak designs the frame around the agreed footprint, bay layout, roof form and structural requirements, then supplies the oak frame for erection by your own team.
These are not restricted to one off-the-shelf size. Two, three and four bay frames, cart-lodge layouts, log stores and room-over garages can all be considered as supply-only projects, subject to the final design and engineering requirements.

How an oak garage kit project works
The frame is designed as a bespoke structure, while your own team coordinates the site works that sit outside the agreed supply package.
1. Design
We agree the bay layout, dimensions, roof form and key specification before manufacture.
2. Manufacture
The oak frame is cut and jointed to the approved structural design through our specialist sawmill partner.
3. Delivery
Delivery is coordinated to the agreed address and access arrangement where included in your quotation.
4. Your build team
Your contractor raises the frame and completes the remaining roofing, enclosure and finishing work in your project scope.

Yes. Southern Oak can supply a bespoke oak garage frame without installation for self-builders, builders and contractors who want to coordinate the remaining work themselves. The exact timber, drawings, delivery and other included items are confirmed in the quotation.
The scope is project-specific, but a supply-only quotation can include the cut and jointed oak frame, structural drawings and delivery. Roof coverings, groundworks, doors, cladding and installation are only included where they are specifically listed in the quotation.
The Southern Oak price is lower where installation and other site works are excluded, but the overall project cost depends on what your own builder charges for raising the frame, roofing, groundworks, cladding, doors and finishing. Compare quotations at the same final scope rather than headline kit price alone.
Yes, provided the contractor is competent to work from the structural information and understands traditional oak-frame assembly. If you would rather use a specialist installation team, Southern Oak can quote an installed route instead.
Yes. Supply-only is available across a range of bespoke garage sizes, including two, three and four bay frames and room-over designs where appropriate. The frame is designed around the agreed dimensions and specification rather than being limited to one standard kit size.
