A Passion for Traditional Craftsmanship
From the very beginning, Sonia has believed that every oak-framed building should be more than just a structure. It should become part of a family's home, a place where memories are made and craftsmanship can be admired for decades to come.
After establishing Southern Oak, Sonia set out to build a company that combines traditional oak framing techniques with a modern, customer-focused approach. Rather than simply supplying oak frames, Southern Oak guides every client through the entire process, from the first conversation and design ideas through to planning support, manufacture and installation.
Every project is approached with the same attention to detail, whether it's a simple porch, a bespoke garage, a garden room or a large oak-framed extension. The goal has always been the same: exceptional quality, honest advice and a building that exceeds expectations.

Who are Southern Oak?
Southern Oak designs bespoke oak framed garages, garden rooms, gazebos, porches and Heritage Solar carports. Frames are produced through a specialist sawmill partner in France, with installation coordinated through experienced specialist teams.
What makes Southern Oak different?
Frames are produced through our specialist sawmill partner using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, while Southern Oak coordinates the design, planning and installation around your home and plot. The result combines traditional oak-framing principles with modern structural design and project management.

Southern Oak coordinates the process from initial design and planning through specialist frame production and on-site installation. Planning support is provided with Planning By Design where required.
